What does the letter after BIOS version mean?

What does the letter after a bios mean/stand for? Example F9c.....what does the c stand for?

That you would have to ask the publisher of the file, probably just symbolizes a minor modification of the file and may or may not be for a specific version of the BIOS. Also note that a motherboard manufacturer or OEM can modify the BIOS to suit their own needs, examples would be the Award or Phoenix BIOSes, there's others that provide them.
