I don't use any defender yet. Is this one needed for safe using? What do you think?

I use it all the time and have only ever had a problem once since I have been using it, it is getting better with each update.

My only antvirus, almost since its introduction.. No virus problems -so far

Are you meaning you have no anti virus prog running? If you have Windows 10 - obviously you have, then Defender will be running automatically.

The name for the program after a couple changes is now Windows Security and is installed automatically, some third-party programs will turn off the automatic/background running of it but should still be available for manual running. An issue can exist between two or more antivirus/antimalware programs doing the same job/always running as the list of definitions will not be the same, could cause problems.
