What about the link @wolf provided. Have you tried it. ?

Sorry but I'm out of any further suggestions. It could be that Creators update and MS are prepping machines that meet the criteria for the next big Creator update in Oct. Nov 2017

Please advise me. I took your suggestion and downloaded the above program. It scanned my computer and found several security and stability problems. When finished I arrived at page with pricing. I didn't realize it was something I would have to pay for but I took a chance and called them to explain my options. If you read my other post you will see I had a very bad experience with a foreign company taking control of my computer and I was surprised when a got a foreign technician on the phone. Is this really a reputable U. S. company? I am so afraid of making a mistake.

Generally speaking when forum members provide a link to another website it is seldom if ever intended for you or anyone else to download, install or purchase a particular product unless otherwise stated.
Often websites will be selling something on a particular page or contain ads to encourage visitors to purchase or at least click on something.
As a rule it is the contents of the page (the actual article) that you are being direct towards and rarely if ever to download something unless the member provides a suggestion to go here and get this of go here and download this.
And probably closer to absolutely never to purchase a commercial product or to engage any third party in a phone conversation.
There is just too many scams out there waiting for an unsuspecting click.

Unfortunately, I never saw the article until just now. Have you gone to that site? When you open it you are faced
with a large Windows 10 Creators Update picture. The first line says "we recommend you use this tool. Download Reimage Plus (100% safe download and endorsed by us) So that is what I did. Big mistake. Yes, it scanned my system and claims to have found stability and security issues then presented me with a pricing page.. This suggested to me that this was what I should do. Thankfully I didn't go any further. I came back to the forum for help. After reading your comments I went back and scrolled further down and found the article but by then it was too late. Perhaps next time people should be advised to bypass the software download and just scroll to the article. Hopefully no harm done. They claim to have found 7 programs with stability issues and 2 sites of malicious activity. What can you suggest I do next? Should I delete that download?

Should I delete that download?
I would first go here
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
Find the program and select it and use the uninstall button to uninstall it. Then if you wish you can go to your downloads folder and delete it.
Perhaps next time people should be advised to bypass the software download and just scroll to the article.
That is a good idea and to the extent it is possible I suppose we could endeavor to do that.
Unfortunately, websites are live animals and an "Ad" or other solicitation to download a product may be present in one location on a page today and another location tomorrow or in some cases, not present or apparent at all today and then may appear as a banner at the top of a site tomorrow.

Speaking for myself..... I will generally suggest that you go to a particular link and "read this article here"
OR
I will suggest going to a particular link and download a specific program and install and run as a suggestion to address a particular issue.
AND
They are always implicit "suggestions" or "recommendations" and are never intended as commands or demands. At some point members and or visitors have to accept a certain degree of responsibility as to what they decide to do with their computer.

I've been a member here since the site first began and this is only the second instance where a member was "victimized" (for lack of a better word) by this type of link and ended up installing something as a result, which was not intended by the member who posted the original link.
I'm sorry and apologize for this unfortunate occurrence and hope that we all take some precautions in the future to protect ourselves and our members from this type of thing happening again.

You will find sites on the internet that will claim to fix any problem you are seeking to fix. the sites will also have your search term word for word in the title. This is how they sell useless programs, and "Yes" they will always find problems. There aim is to con honest users into purchasing their crap.
Just be careful out there, you're the user, as such, it's your responsibility to read the full article before any downloading.

HI ottiliegirl,

as @Trouble said above, you were not being directed to download any software but to reading the article on the page!.

Sorry if you misunderstood what I was trying to convey. :(
