Hi,

After he reinstalled Windows 10 (and kept his files and settings), EDGE was still not working.

So this time, he uninstalled it without a third party tool.
He executed the script directly in Powershell (Admin), and the operation was successfull, no error.
But, EDGE wasn't working, still opening briefly and closing even faster !
So, he created a new account and... EDGE is working fine with that account.
Finally,it was the account that was corrupted.
Now, he's moving all his files and settings to that new account and will delete the corrupted one.

I guess he used the same ISO, so it means that his ISO may be corrupted ?!??

Thanks for the update JAY B.

If the User Account was corrupted prior to using that third party tool to strip Microsoft Edge from the WIM (windows image), then using that tool would only have further compounded the underlying issue.

It seems though he was fortunate to have you around to guide him through the steps to resolve the problem.

I'm not certain what initially upset the User account - perhaps some other third party app he is using, or perhaps modifying the Registry at some stage upset things (either manually, or the installation of an app or update changed the Registry).

Anyway its good to know for now anyway the issue is resolved.

He followed your instruction and I did as well.

First we went there :

Then We typed EDGE and we tried Microsoft EDGE and for both of them it says no result was found !

May be we were not at the right place ???

P.S.: I tried it on my laptop, same answer ???

Its Edge not EDGE, that might be why you can't find it.
