Likely a result of trying to apply the wrong one.
There are three options, it's not the server version, so....
That leaves two..... the 64 bit version 1055.7 MB, or.....
The 32 bit version 566.5 MB

It's a cumulative update, so I'm not sure why it would say "not applicable to your system" otherwise.
It should be generally applicable provided you are downloading and installing the correct bit version for your system architecture.
OR
Unless you are running a preview build, in which case it wouldn't be applicable.
This update replaces the following updates:

Norton-Antivirus system is kapersky 2017, also have Malwarebytes running. I have even turned of both prior to installation in case they could cause any problems. It did not help.

KB4015438 is supposed to be a replacement for KB4013429 according to forums on Google.Another Microsoft failure of cumulative updates for W10. Have a read on Google, it appears corrupted and causes even more Computer problems.

Mothie you appear to be doing everything right, with no positive results. It's frustrating to say the least.

:eek:Wait for it! I now have the same problem with KB4015438 which the clowns at Microsoft are trying to install now, after using update reset tool. This update will not even download, stating it's files are corrupted.

I have know children using a PI computer with more programming skills than "Crowd fiasco" herein.
A System with no updates is put at risk.

With no options to return to an alternative previous system due to inconsiderate Microsoft cutting support on these, then practically badgering the public to take on an incomplete setup whose major component, updates, is semi functional and literally providing next to nothing in support, makes me understand now, quite clearly why folks do not trust" you know who."
Whatever happened to single regular updates? They were tested and worked. Why are we having very large cumulative updates, which are not working by and large?

Sorry,I have lost faith in this system.

 Success!!! Fallen off my stool! Must get a brandy, quick.

KB4015438 3rd attempt has installed itself as a replacement for KB4013429. Large file.
I can only put this down to using the following program found on Google.

https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Reset-Windows-Update-Agent-d824badc
Reset Windows Update Agent.

It additionally offers other solutions beside. Allow me to suggest it is worth looking at,though I am sure some may already know of it. Needs to be run as an Administrator. It was an IT friend of mine at Swift PC that called in at my home who came across it.

Here's trusting that any further updates run smoothly and that it will not take me another week to track down the solution, whether via your excellent Forum,Google,Full ant-virus checks, SF/Scannow, Disk Checking, etc, etc.

May I thank this Forum for it's help and suggestions, truly first class. All of you, please keep well. We need your expertise.:p
