Hello,

Hate to bother you folks with what is probably a simple question, but, honestly, I've spent a lot of time and effort,
and am about ready to give up. Will blame it on that old-age thing.

If anyone could help me, would really be appreciative.

Am trying to find the Folder, or location, where my eMais are being stored.

Looked most everywhere I can think of.
e.g., Users
APP
Data
Local
Comms

None of these seems to have it, or any sub Folder(s) of these either.

So, please, where should I look to find them ? (I use Comcast)

As always, Much Thanks,
Bob

It would be nice to know which email program you are using. then others that have the same program, can point you in the right direction.

Hello,

I apologize for any confusion.

Am using the eMail program that came with my W10 pc.
at least I think it came with W10, but perhaps Comcast downloaded it ?

There is a blue icon with an envelope in it on the bottom bar.

Thought it was just called "MAIL"
I see no other name for it.

Thanks for help; really appreciated

It is still not to clear what you are requesting!

Do you mean sent received, or...?

Not sure if it is what you are seeking, but, have you tried clicking the three bars (Top left) and selecting "Folders"

I did some research and found on a MS website, that MAIL is only an interface to your email server and it does not store your emails locally.

Windows 10 Mail does not store mail at all. It's merely a sync service like on your phone which mirrors the mail in Mail Accounts' folders online which is where your mail actually lives.

I am confident of my answer because I've been answering this question for years, have been answering questions in forums for ten years, during which I've been awarded the highest award in the tech field for all ten years. So you can trust me.

another one says this:

https://www.tenforums.com/browsers-email/42970-windows-10-mail-location.html which seems to me more plausible, or you could look here:

this may shed some light on the issue

The info may be out of date?

They are actually stored (for me, anyway -Win 10 Pro) in:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\

You then need to open microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps
and then
\LocalState\Indexed\LiveComm

But I have a feeling the op was not looking for anything quite as deep as that??

PS. Not denying that they are probably also stored on the server if you have access there.
