"Options" tab whenever "home"s triggered

I'm using Firefox on a lap top, whenever I use the "home" button I get a new tab opened but it is automatically is opened to "Options". Don't know what I did to have this happened because it did not occur when I first installed 10. If you have a simple solution I would appreciate it I say simple because I am not computer literate and need help.

 

[Trouble]

Click the hamburger menu icon (three horizontal lines) top right of browser.
Check and confirm you have the homepage of your choice listed in the "Home Page:" text box and only one page no pipe symbol seperating multiple home pages.
