SOLVED NO preview of images

i use to see preview thumbnails of images in explorer, now i see generic place holders only, how to fix?

Open File explorer
click on "VIEW"
click on "OPTIONS"
click on "CHANGE FOLDER AND SEARCH OPTIONS"
go to the tab "VIEW"
uncheck "ALWAYS SHOW ICONS, NEVER THUMBNAILS"
click "OK"
