Microsoft Edge slower than Google Chrome

I find Microsoft Edge slower than Google Chrome in user response and loading pages.

I have increased the 'Temporary Internet File Disk Space To Use' to 1024 MB in IE as suggested somewhere I've read.

Why is this as its suppose to be the fastest of em all.

Any clues/tips of how to improve its operation and why has IE any influence on Edge running.
