What happens if it is disabled? I have a perfectly working Acronis backup image of the entire drive, so do I need WRE at all? I love it that I can simply go back to all my updates, apps, and preferences reinstalled with my image. I am using Windows 10.

The only issue I've seen involving that is a small partition on the C: drive, is a consideration in getting one of the updates known as KB5034441 that is failing to install. I have one Notebook with only 3 partitions, doesn't have that partition and it can't get that particular update. Checking online sources says it is not needed so until something else happens I'm just leaving alone [wife uses it for Internet, games and E-Mail.
