Gaming using a lot of ram. Check that you have enough and if so, run memtest for at least 11 passes. If you fail right away then you can stop ,but it could take a long run with memtest to know for sure. now and then you get lucky and it fails fast, saving you hours of testing. on some older PC's 11 passes can take all night, so I like to start it running and go to bed.
When you recover from the crash you should get a little popup telling you that windows has just recovered and a button to click for more info. in there you should find a bccode with a number after which can help in your search. Just google the code given. If you don't get the window with the more info button and it just says you recovered from a fatal error. check your log. If you're using a desktop and not getting a code, it might be your power supply. In that case you should see a critical kernel error in the log.
In future post your system info would be helpful along with things like, has it always done this, or did it just start doing it. Are you over clocking? If you don't know what over clocking is then your aren't doing it. Have you tampered with the video card settings? Do you have a video card?
