I have a new hp24-g216 running Windows 10 home edition. The OS is activated but it keeps popping up every few minutes asking me to upgrade. This is becoming so annoying and distracting. How can i stop this form coming up again as i am comfortable with the os i have. Any help will do. Thanks a lot.

Hi Uche2u,

what version of Windows do you have?, if it is way out of date, you may not be able to stop the message (at least I am not sure how to do that).

Press the Windows key + r and type winver and it will tell you what version you have. :):):)

This is not an issue...just a question.

I updated yesterday and my version # is reported as 1803.17134.407. What is the significance of the last 3 digits?

Hi Uche2u,

you need to follow through with an update, simple as that from what I can tell, you are behind as @dustywoodworker posted, you are lagging behind in your version number for 1803, it is most likely that you will be upgraded to version 1809 in the next few days anyway!. :):):)
