Windows search bar

in the windows search bar it says "Search the web and Windows" but for some reason when i click on it, it wont let me type.. Am i missing something or because i cant accsess some of my files

Hi Henry,

Your symptom can be caused by Localisation issues that in previous Windows 10 releases has prevented Cortana working in countries it is supposed to work in (Note: some regions Cortana is not available for just now). You could try the following:
  • Press Winkey + I key or click Start Orb | settings
  • Click on Time & Language
  • In left pane click on Region & language
  • Check your region settings are accurate, then back in left pane click on Date & Time
  • Under Date & Time make sure "Set time automatically" is turned on, and that current date and time settings are correct for your Region
