Let me first start by saying....I have internet connection.
When I right click the network icon in the lower right hand of the screen and choose "troubleshoot problems" I get "Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings".
My wife's Win10 Laptop does it, My daughters Win10 Laptop also does it. They also both have internet connection.
I have a dual boot system, my Windows 7 does not do this....and has internet connection.
When I go to Control Panel\Internet Options\Connections\Lan Settings and UNCHECK automatically detect settings under Automatic Configuration the error goes away, is this just a Win10 issue?
Is it safe to have this unchecked?
What is also strange is, when i go to Control Panel\Network and Sharing\Change Adapter Settings and then right click Ethernet Connection and click "diagnose" it says Troubleshooting couldn't Identify the problem.
