Windows 10 update locked me out of my computer

I'm very upset right now.

Hi all,

I do have a password on my computer & I know it & it's even written down & it's not working.

I'm on another computer right now, but I don't even have my email.

Windows often changes the image on the dashboard after an update, so I thought restarting would clear it & it put it back to what was there, but no, I still can't log in. I have an external keyboard, I even tried the laptop keyboard.

This is terrible & no, I don't have a Windows account that's attached to my login screen.

I don't have the p/w reset on a thumb drive, & I'm not verifying my identity. They locked me out with an update I didn't even want. In all my years this has NEVER happened to me before & I've had a p/w on my computers for at least 20 or so years.

Please help.
