Hi Rustydonnamae,
I'm fairly sure that is the latest version you have. Microsoft are introducing new features there that allows Cortana to interact with your notes, among other things.
You are correct that the old trick of Ctrl + Shift + > for now does not increase the font size, nor does Ctrl + Mouse Scroll UP.
If that is something you must have right now, a work-around, until Microsoft address this would be to use an older Build version of Sticky Notes.
Attached is a file named
StickyNotes.zip
- Download the file
- Run a virus scan on your download
- When satisfied the file is safe, right-click and select Extract all
- Right-click on StikyNot.exe and select Copy
- Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 folder then right-click inside this folder and select paste
- Right-click again on StikyNot.exe and select Pin to taskbar or Start if you prefer
- Now return to your extracted folder and right-click on StikyNot.exe.mui and select copy
- Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\en-US folder and then right-click inside the folder and select paste
Note: Each time you paste you may be prompted to Confirm as you are pasting in areas controlled by the System, so if you see a prompt click Confirm.
Once done you can use the older style Sticky Notes:
- To increase font size: Press Ctrl + Shift + >,
- To decrease font size press Ctrl + Shift + <
If you want to change the colour of the Yellow Sticky Note, right-click on the new Sticky and select a colour.
There are many Keyboard shortcuts for the older Sticky Notes. This website has a table showing you:
http://www.guidingtech.com/14842/format-sticky-notes-windows-shortcuts/
You'll notice there Ctrl + Shift + L can be toggled to choose Bullets, Numbers, etcetera. To see the different choices while holding Ctrl + Shift down, simple tap the L key,(up to 9 taps for a different choice.)
Sorry I can't fix the modern Sticky Notes for you. Hopefully Microsoft will allow us to have those options back in a future update.
The more modern Sticky Notes 1.8.0.0 will still work too after adding those two files, but it will not be able to change font size until Microsoft change it; or someone else fiddles with its dependent files.
Regards,
