Windows 10 says it has found a problem and needs to restart, at least once a day

I experienced all sort of problems after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I lost my internet connection, all my old programmes disappeared, it would not open my old documents etc. Most of these I have sorted but it still shuts down and restarts at least once a day after saying it has detected a fault and needs to restart

Have you checked the event viewer to see if there are any specifics regarding the problem listed there?
