Windows 10 - Programs load slowly from Taskbar

Hi all - recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and have had several hiccups. I've managed to knock most of them out except for one - any programs that I load when I click on them from the Taskbar have a 7-10 second delay when loading. The same programs, if I click on them from the Desktop or Start Menu are nearly instant. What could it be?
