I've just moved over to Windows 10. Twice now I've set it up as per my 8.1 version where I have links on the desktops to particular directories and files and bookmarks in Google for key websites. Both times I've closed it down they've all disappeared when I load up the next day. How do I stop this happening ? Thanks

Hi Dave,
Not sure how many icons or links you have saved to your desktop but if its a few then it may be a spacing issue between each individual item.
Try left click your desktop | Press and hold CTRL | now scroll down with mouse

- You may suddenly see the missing icons reappear (albeit smaller)
- When you are happy you can see things release CTRL to save icon spacing
