For reasons I don't understand, my Windows 10 account has been temporarily suspended. I don't own a cell phone, so texting is impossible. This computer is only used for basic needs...banking, paying bills etc. Should I be concerned about this temporary suspension?

Hi slowfred,

Welcome to the Forum.

If you do not own a cell phone, do you know anyone else who does.

Microsoft texts a verification code to confirm its you, but this can be sent to any phone as its done just the once.

Basically, you go on line, Sign in to your suspended account, then they will provide a field to enter a number to text verification to, and all you do is enter what they send you.

See here for explanation from Microsoft:

Alternately, you could use the Contact Support app built into Windows 10 to get them to telephone you on a landline or email you so you can get them to walk you through reactivation.
