Win10 64bit app which uses Java hangs

I upgraded from 7 to 10, and a bank app which requires Java to run properly failed to show certain info. It ran fine on Win7. So I downloaded and installed a Java install file javasetup8U91.exe. After this I tried to run the app, but on clicking the icon, it just hangs the computer with a blue circle. I have to force a shutdown by holding in the start button (a laptop).

I then uninstalled Java, and then on rebooting the app was gone!

So I did a system restore and Java is back, but I still have the hanging problem.

Which Java install file should I download. (Win10 Home 64bit)
