Why is my laptop displaying blinking black and the fan overheating?

I'm using a school laptop, so there are some restrictions in place. I can't use certain functions like Windows key + R. Lately, my laptop's fan has been extremely loud and it overheats frequently. Strangely, while I'm using the laptop, the screen flashes black repeatedly, although the laptop itself doesn't shut down. This happens consistently every day, causing my laptop to freeze momentarily during use. The issue occurs most often when I'm playing Xbox Live games like Roblox, but it also happens randomly when I'm browsing with Microsoft Edge or using other Windows applications.

I'm unsure what could be causing this problem and would appreciate any advice on resolving it.
