Hi,

Not much more I can say, other than it's a frustrating problem.

Thanks for any help.

I'm surprised that here, apparently no one else has experienced this problem and that Microsoft has not addressed the problem with an update.
For the record I have now overcome the problem by visiting the Intel Download Centre where currently there is only one Windows network driver viz., PROWinx64 bit.exe, which works.
Why did Microsoft find a need to change the Intel driver to one that doesn't work properly?

Glad to hear that you managed to resolve your problem.
Thanks for posting your solution here.

Who knows why Microsoft does anything.
Your network adapter is not the only hardware device suffering the woes of Windows Update forcing a less than optimal driver.
