Want to put a shortcut to the desktop on the task bar

I have searched all over and cannot find an answer to how to

Put a go to desktop icon in the task bar.

Now i have to minimize all open windows to get to the desktop. There must be a better way.

Windows 10 has this thing called Desk View natively in the taskbar. Not sure if that's what your looking for.

#1 to what bassfisher said: click on the far right edge of the task bar-to the right of a vertical line if you can see a line in the task bar, and you'll go to the desktop.
