I have a HP laptop (W10 Pro) and purchased a newer larger screen Lenovo laptop (W-10 home). The HP has an ssd but the Lenovo has a regular drive which I'd like to replace with an ssd. What is the best way to migrate the HP files, programs to the new ssd ? Clone the Lenovo HD to the new ssd and try to migrate programs, files and folders over somehow. I'm guessing I can't clone the HP ssd somehow with minimal drivers and have the w10 pro accept the w10 home license. Thanks and God bless.

You can clone the Lenovo drive to a SSD without problems but you cannot use the HP drive as they have different O/S on them that do not align with the serial that is stored in the BIOS (in newer computers) as they are Volume licenses and not retail licenses.
