SOLVED VPN not working after Windows updates

I have two computers that I use from home to connect to my business network using a VPN client. They both worked fine last weekend. This week two updates occurred to Windows 10 Pro: KB4465663 & KB4467702. Now neither computer can connect. I receive an error from our firewall "Failed to get domain name". Any ideas?

Open the control panel click on Network and Sharing Centre > Troubleshoot Network (diagnose and repair network problems) You could also attempt to reboot your router.

Did VPN go away along with workgroups as a result of the recent changes?

The problem was the modem at the business location, dropped the static IP address - not an issue with the windows 10 updates - although there were other networking issues as a result of the update turning services off.
