Verify Microsoft Account Error

I have an old email address in Microsoft account which i which to change. It allows me to enter my new email and password however when i try to sign in i get error message Oops, something went wrong, This service isn't available right now - please try again later.

Can anyone advise on how i can get my new email set up? Or what the error message relates to?

Use your old email address and password to open the MS account, Click on your profile (top right) and edit the original account to whatever you wish.
