Using New Outlook my emails are either directed to the Junk folder or simply Deleted.

One solution is, apparently, to either delete the Outlook.srs file or to rename it to Outlook.srs.old

Try as I might I simply cannot find the srs file in question.

Can anyone help please?

If your emails in New Outlook are being sent to the Junk folder or getting deleted, here are a few things you can check and fix:

1. Check Junk Email Settings

  • Open Outlook and go to Settings (⚙️) > Mail > Junk email.
  • Make sure no important senders are in the Blocked senders and domains list.
  • Add trusted senders to the Safe senders and domains list.

2. Review Inbox Rules

  • Go to Settings > Mail > Rules and check if any rule is moving or deleting emails automatically.
  • If you find any suspicious or incorrect rule, delete or modify it.

3. Disable Focused Inbox

  • Sometimes, emails may appear missing due to the Focused Inbox feature.
  • Go to Settings > Mail > Layout > Focused Inbox and turn it Off.

4. Check Your Email Filters

  • In the Inbox, look at the top where filters like "Unread" or "Flagged" might be applied.
  • Click on "Filter" and select All Mail to ensure no emails are being hidden.

5. Review Third-Party Security Software

  • Some antivirus or spam filters may be moving your emails to Junk. Try disabling the email scanning feature in your antivirus software.

6. Check for Outlook Sync Issues

  • If you're using Outlook with another device, sync errors might cause emails to be deleted or moved.
  • Try signing out and back into Outlook or reinstalling the app.
If the issue persists, consider switching back to Classic Outlook and see if the problem continues. You can also use DRS Softech Outlook PST Recovery to recover Outlook data into various file formats and email clients.
