SOLVED USB ports

Hi,
I just learned I can download photo's from my Nikon camera directly to my computer.
There are a bunch of ports...how do I know which one to use? Toshiba Satellite 1300 laptop

Follow the instructions in the manual for the camera.

USB ports do not have a hierarchy, they each function equally the same way. So it's not important which ones are used over the others. The only differences are transfer rates with newer revisions being faster. There are power differences as well, but I don't think that is what you are asking.

Thank you for responding....I just poked around until I found one that fit...so that must be it. The directions on the carmera are vague...so I'm all set. Again, thank you for responding and so quickly. I really appreciate it!
