UpDate old Windows Tablet to Win10

I have an old 32G Tablet which has Windows 8 Pro, with a micro sd slot which I can sideload 32G.

Can I install windows 10, if so which version would be suitable or would the download decide for itself.

Reason doing this, giving to my young grandson.

With 32GB in Storage you will have problems installing and more important, updating Windows 10. It is simply not enough storage.
