The volume on my laptop is changing on its own after a water spill near the left side where the volume control keys are located. Initially, the audio didn't work at all, but I managed to restore it. However, now the volume changes randomly when I'm on websites or using audio-related applications. It fluctuates from being completely muted to maximum volume, and mostly decreases on its own. I tried to disable the automatic volume adjustment feature, but it didn't resolve the issue. I suspect that water may have affected the circuits or components responsible for controlling the volume.
As a precaution, I've removed the buttons to allow the area to dry. Should I leave it to dry overnight, or is there a more effective solution to address this issue?
