Hi windows 10 forums.

After updating to windows 10 i'm having problems creating snapshots (Volume Shadow Copy Service?) when creating backups. Before I updated to windows 10, I was able to do this on my Windows 8.1 installlation: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/how-to-make-system-image-backup,26542.html

But after windows 10, I'm no longer able to do so. I get the follwing error code: 0x80042306

Also I have Acronis True Image installed on my PC. It also worked pefectly before update to windows 10 but now when I try to backup my files i get an "Unable to create snapshot"-error. The offical Support: https://kb.acronis.com/content/48686

The only link I can finde between Windows System Image and Acroniss is VSS, but I cannot figure out what causes the problemes. Can anyone help me?

The only thing I could find regarding your issues seems to be
1. Problems with the disks. Check any and all disks involved in the backup process with the native Check Disk utility.
Admin Command prompt and type
chkdsk X: /R (where X: is the disk you wish to check)
2. Multiple backup solutions contesting for VSS.
AND
3. Which is kinda odd but I thought I would pass it along anyway.
The post from "mahhiads" here http://windows8search.com/forum/steps-fix-error-0x80042306-windows-8-system-1029.html#post5268
Which would seem to suggest that the system still believes it is still in "setup" or "upgrade" mode.
Might be worth having a look at.

I found the solutions. From the event viewer I found a different error message, that was actually helpful. After just 5 minutes research online it was clear that it was Apple Boot Camp driver, that caused the problem. Boot camp drivers was installed on my PC in order to enable the keyboard shortcuts (volume up and down, mute, etc.) for my Apple Keyboard
After a simple uninstall I was able to backup my PC again.
