Trouble Accessing my additional Hard Disk Drives

I have an slot for an extra Hard Disk Drive in my Dell Dimension 380 freshly running Windows 10, which I like very much. I have not been able to access that 2 TB HDD in that slot for extra HDDs. What am I doing wrong. The HDD does not show up when I look for it. I was trying to save and retrieve files from the inserted HDD. My main drive is a small solid state drive and don't want to use it for files.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
First make sure that you've caught up with all outstanding windows updates, then....

Go to dell support, plug in your service tag number and check for drivers.
I can find an old OptiPlex 380 and even an old Precision 380, but nothing for a Dimension 380
Probably just needs the driver for that second controller bus.
