Hi,
I have an issue with my Laptop - Toshiba Satellite L40-A974
1. When wake up from hibernation or sleep mode, the touchpad does not respond at all. I have to restart the computer to get it to work. My mouse device found on the properties is "Synaptics Click Pad V0.0 on SMB port". But, once my touchpad does not respond after wake up, I can see one extra device in my mouse properties - "Synaptics Click Pad V0.0 on PS/2 port". The same is issue is there when I switch on my laptop. I need to restart my system to make my touchpad works.
2. No error message appears. The keyboard functions normally and I navigate through the start menu with keyboard commands to restart it.
3. I am the administrator of my system.
4. I tried the below command in command prompt as seen in another discussion of this forum
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
This command ran successfully.
I started facing this problem after I upgrade my operating system from Windows 8 to Windows 10.
Please help on this.
