Not sure how much more time I would devote to this as a project.
Personally, I think I would back up all critical data, download the latest ISO from Microsoft, create bootable media from that ISO and just wipe the drive and start from scratch.
Assuming no critical hardware problems, that should get you a functioning computer again and you could spend your valuable time restoring your data from your backup into the appropriate locations on a working computer.

A screw unscrewed from where? I agree with Trouble. I wouldn't waste much more time trying to reset the computer

You could also try a Linux version (Live CD) and see if that boots (boot your computer from USB or DVD) to check and see if your computer has any hardware problems, you don't have to install it, just run it live to see if your computer is physically okay!.

I would go with Kubuntu or Ubuntu as they are fairly straightforward:

https://kubuntu.org/getkubuntu :)

You should also be able to access your HDD to copy any files you may need from your Windows partitions and copy them to USB!. ;)

Sure would be nice to know.... how you "fixed" it.
I'm certain many could benefit from your experience.
