The "free up space" feature seems to be stuck

I just read about this feature of Windows today, so decided to try it since I uninstalled CCleaner after years of use.

I used this feature on my desktop earlier today and it ran and completed fine. However, it seems to be stuck on my laptop tonight. The bar has not moved one iota for a long time now. I'm wondering if I dare to close it out.

Your advice would be appreciated.

I find if you use it to clean up Windows update files, that it does take a very long time.
