Anyone know anything about an outfit called Teamviewer? They called me yesterday about my Amazon account being hacked and offered to help solve it. Claimed someone in California had charged a $1000 phone to my account. Amazon had no record of it.
Sounds like a scam riding on a pretty well known name in the industry.
However Teamviewer is not it that kind of business.
I think you can safely ignore it, and just keep monitoring your Amazon account for anything that looks unusual.
Hopefully you didn't volunteer or otherwise surrender any critical information about yourself or your account.
Agreed. This is a scam or at least a phishing email. Teamviewer has nothing to do with Amazon at all and would never do that anyway.
Just delete and forget it
I get those emails plenty of times and always ignore them as they usually end up in the Spam folder anyway.
