Got the above mentioned message. Disk Usage sometimes runs at 100% at times while CPU runs at 6% and RAM at 49%. Uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled it thinking it was related to McAfee. No difference. Same problem. I even turned off Malwarebytes, but that didn't make any difference. The Disk Usage remained at 100% regardless of what I tried when running a McAfee scan which also takes lots of time to start.

Running Windows 10 with latest updates. Also McAfee Livesafe and Malwarebytes with the latest updates on each.

It all seemed to have started after installing 2018-02 Adobe Flash Player Security for Windows 10 and 2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 on 02/11/18. I have since installed 2018-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 on 02/13/18.

Hi G Man,

normally it will settle down after 10 minutes or thereabouts, is it still running at 100% after a long time?.

What apps do you have starting at boot time and can you disable some of them?: :)

Do you have the latest version of MalwareBytes installed?
They fixed a problem with the program which was causing slowdowns.
