SOLVED Strange looking Windows 10

When opening windows 10 the first thing I see is a "windows 8" start page, or at least that is what it looks like. I hav used winbdows 10 for a whild now but the look has changed. I can`t change to desktop, but if I use alt+tab i can change between different programs running

I think you are on tablet mode.
click the icon right next to the Time > click Tablet mode.
That should bring the Start Menu screen back to normal.

Yes I can see what you mean have you tried running the trouble shooter or sfc /snannow to see if you have picked up some malware.

Additionally you might check here
Click the Start Button, Settings, Personalization, Start.
Change the slider to off on Use Start full screen.

What type computer are you using; tablet, desktop, etc.?
