SOLVED Sticky Notes

My x32Win10ProV21H1 lacks Sticky Notes, and the methods of recovery outlined in https://www.intowindows.com/how-to-reset-and-reinstall-sticky-notes-in-windows-10/ all fail to do that. Getting it from Microsoft Store requires Xbox to be on - and that seems to be an extra device/gadget. Isn't there a more straightforward way ?

Maybe a reset of Win10 or an inplace upgrade over itself? I have Sticky Notes Version 4.2.2.0 on my Win10 computers and also on my new Win11 Notebook.

That gives me the same window as I got before, when it required me to use XBox. However, this time it did download and install Sticky Notes, and there is an icon on the TaskBar, but (double-)clicking it does NOT result in a note window opening. Instead, a VERY small window opens just over the Task Bar, and disappears when the mouse cursor moves away from the Task bar icon.
SO.... some progress, but not enough.

As it turns out, I found a way to make the window appear - all is well that ends well. Thank you.

Right click the taskbar icon and "Close window"
Then look down in the start menu and start the app again
Woops. Too late!
