I said probably because I am not there. I can say that of the 5 systems (4 self built) here, Speccy and Belarc are in agreement EXCEPT for my factory built Windows 7 Toshiba notebook that was upgraded to Windows 10. Belarc is incorrectly reporting I have Windows 8 Home Premium installed on it and is listing the product key that came with the notebook. Speccy is correctly reporting I have W10 installed and is listing a totally different "Serial" Number. On another PC that was upgraded from W7 So I am to assume the rest of Belarc's information is suspect? No. After further research I am finding this issue has been discussed back to W8, typically with factory built computers. BUT - as I indicated above, note in Speccy, what you see is the "Serial Number", not the "Product Key". There seems to be much confusion about which is which and much depends on if the computer was factory built with an image of Windows installed, or custom built with Windows installed directly from a disk. The serial number is generated by Windows during the installation process and is based on the hardware found too. It may or may not match the Product key, depending on how Windows was installed. You may also notice that many Windows 10 computers have the same key: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T. This is because W10 keeps track of legitimate licenses differently. That key is for W10 Pro. You may find if you have Windows 10 Home, your key is YTMG3-N6DKC-DKB77-7M9GH-8HVX7.
