Hey all,
First time here and hopefully i get it right..!
Issues appeared after i replaced my Mobo and CPU ,i lack notification sounds and can't login to my Microsoft acct.
Whenever i get to Windows sounds menu to check, all sounds r enabled and if i use test, all are audible.
When i try to login to my acct, all i get r the five dots moving across the screen endlessly.
Even though honesty might get me in trouble i understand giving all information is paramount, so here it goes..,when i upgraded my hardware i got a message to reactivate my windows, tried all i could.., contacted Dell (my original Mobo manufacturer).., contacted Microsoft help and all concluded i had to buy a new license for abt 130 euro/dollars. I opted to use a third party unlocking software, which btw worked fine..,but i got the aforementioned problems. I guess i got what i deserved.., but wasn't willing to pay for s/thing already mine.., since i had legitimately Win 10 installed on my PC.
Thanx in advance and sorry for the long thread.

You "had" windows 10 installed on "your" PC, however, your PC is not your PC anymore, it's a different PC with a new motherboard and processor.
I'm pretty sure that the information you received from contacting both Dell and Microsoft was accurate.
Your only option at this point might be to purchase Windows 10 or an actual copy of your previous Windows version and upgrade from there again.
It's likely that the only "legitimate" license was a Dell OEM license which unlike a Retail license is non-transferrable. Once you've upgraded your hardware the computer is not the same computer is was before.
You could try reinstalling your previous version of Windows using the COA product key on the computer (if present) try activating again (telephone) and then upgrade again. It might work but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
