Sleep Mode ?

Hello,

I have both Power and Sleep functions set for "turning to sleep" after
20 minutes of inactivity.

Always worked.

MY HP desktop (Pavillion) front power light would slowly blink whenever in this sleep mode.

No more. Seems like the latest MS update did something to prevent it from
sleeping, even though the settings to do so are there.

Does seem to work for the Monitor, though.

Any thoughts on this ?

Since the monitor is going to sleep it means it's lost the data signal from the video/graphics adapter which in turn means the Sleep function in Windows is working in turning off the data flow. I'd take the issue as being with the indicator light, maybe HP has an update or solution?

No response from the HP Forums so far.

Additional question re: this non-blinking of the power button seems to have happened after the latest MS update.

I looked in the Power settings but can't find what I am after.

Is there a way to tell it "not to sleep," ever ?

I thought I would re-cycle the sleep mode, turn on and off, and see what happens.
