Sleep mode... now can't hard reboot

Used sleep to shut down my Dell inspirion desktop with windows 10 last night using the sleep mode... now I can't power back on at all... have tried unplugging for several minutes and still power button won't work and stuck in sleep mode.... hhhhh.... not a very computer literate person and I am getting frustrated. .. please help

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop, Have you tried holding down the start button until it powers up?

Yes I have tried this for at least 30 sec... nothing ... I'm at a loss... I think it's time to take to computer dude
