shutting down problems

Hi I have problems when I try to shut down my computer using windows 10 shutting down can anybody offer and any advice on this . Thanks in advance

Mate,

You would need to be a bit more specific, but try this command from the command prompt:
C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00

When I click on win 10 bottom of page I click on power and shut down but nothing happens . it does not shut down at all . cheers John

Hi I have Just found the solution to this problem and for others who have the same issues please copy and paste this link

It could be you have something that's hanging around when shutdown is taking place and Windows 10 is waiting for you to do something and is waiting on an action that will not be forthcoming. I had this on my Windows 10 PC and I was able to resolve this by following the instructions in this article.
