SOLVED Should I use usb 2 or usb 3 to make a recovery flash drive?

I was reading about how to make a recovery flash drive and can't find the post now but I read that you should use usb 2 if you had both usb 2 and 3 on your notebook. Is that true and, if so, why? Thanks.

There no difference between the two as for making and using the recover flash drive. The "only" difference is the data transfer rate....3 is faster than 2.

BUT: if the drivers for USB 3 are available---then USB 2 MIGHT POSSIBLY BE.

It would seem best to use USB2 because of the driver for 2 being more likely to be loaded and available. IMO
