Search window in Task Bar

Hi, I did some exploring with the search window & set it up in Cortana, but I don't like it & would like to know if/how I can revert/change it back to say, "Search The Web or Computer" vs. "Ask me anything." I don't understand ho The Reminders work; is it only for that day (or I thought you could set up a reminder for a future day/like in a calendar. Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance..
