SOLVED Screen randomly exits power save mode + audio pop

I've had this issue for ages and re-installing Windows 10 has not helped. My screen randomly (about every 3-5 minutes) comes out of power save mode and simultaneously the audio pops. The screen immediately goes back into power save mode. It does this continuously.

• I used Snappy Driver Installer to ensure I have the latest drivers installed.
• Tried the freeware "Super Sleep".
• Tried different sleep settings: at the moment, I have it set for monitor to sleep after 15 minutes, computer to never sleep.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Knowing what system and age might help. There are some new systems, such as Surface systems, which behave differently when the display is off.

But the pop in sound might mean some notification might be trying to make itself known.

Think you were right. I used Process Explorer to find out what kept pinging and turns out Nvidia Tray App was the culprit. Thanks!
