Screen is bugging out

When I use any program on my laptop, the screen gets like this after a few seconds. I used the uttorent for reference. But the weird thing is that when I click for example on the bugged out text or anything it goes back to normal. I installed windows 10 yesterday, also no matter what i to the sound doesnt work. My laptop is the lenovo thinkpad t400.Im getting really frustrated can anybody please help?

Check the mfgr website for video and sound drivers. Mfgr drivers are usually preferred to MS versions.

hi, thanks for answering. I used this laptop before and it didnt have any problems till the moment the os was wiped away by itself. Then i figured i’ll just install a new one, and this happened. Do you think it might be related?

Yes. Windows often installs it's own drivers, which may be newer or older than the previous ones. Installing drivers from the mfgr. website is always a good move. Graphics drivers from Microsoft has caused me enough issues that I have excluded drivers from Windows Updates.

We used to be able to exclude drivers in Update, but I guess that has changed. Here is a link that shows how:

What resolution are you running? Thinkpads can sometimes be temperamental when run at other then defaults.
