Sandbox

If I use Win 10 sandbox to see whether an *.exe file is malicious, will sandbox give me a warning message that it is malicious?

I've never had it give me a warning. Defender doesn't run in sandbox. I think you just have to monitor the programs actions. You could upload the file to VirusTotal. It'll check the file with multiple AV software. I've used the site quite a bit. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/
